Availability and procurement of raw materials

We always strive to meet the requirements and wishes of our business partners.
We maintain an open communication, which is characterised by transparency, reliability and
communication in partnership.
We are currently experiencing an extreme shortage on the commodities market across all product groups
of the goods. This is currently leading to delivery delays and extreme price increases, sometimes up to
to 50 % of raw materials such as resins, fibre and also prepregs.
The reasons for this situation are manifold, including reduced capacities following the pandemic in 2020, which could not be adjusted quickly enough due to the high demand in early of 2021. Furthermore, the Asian market reserves the right to use the required raw materials primarily for its own market in the first step.
In order to be able to meet the delivery dates in the long term, we would therefore ask you to check your annual requirements for products from our company and adjust them if necessary. It would be helpful for us to receive a statement at an early stage about your requirements in 2021. We would then be happy to start further planning with our suppliers and stockpile raw materials in order to be able to optimally cover your needs.
CG TEC GmbH has initiated immediate countermeasures to stabilise prices in response to the price increases announced by our suppliers. We demand optimisation steps, concepts for price increase defence as well as an ABC analysis from our suppliers. We also offer our suppliers higher purchase quantities and supply contracts in order to mitigate the price increases as best as possible.
The commodity price situation is currently on the rise, with no end in sight.
It cannot be ruled out that we will have to adjust our prices at short notice.
