Measurement technology

Stiffer than steel, but significantly lighter - carbon fiber-reinforced plastics are setting forward-looking standards not only in Formula 1. Our high-tech materials can also be used in a variety of ways in the field of measurement technology: whether as thermostable instrument carriers or optical cladding. To make the most of their potential, up-to-date know-how and years of experience are essential. Customers can find both at CG TEC.

Carbon & Glass Fiber for High Precision measurement technology

The lighter and stiffer the probe system, the more precisely you can measure with it. The best way to do this is with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), which offers the following advantages:

  • Low mass
  • Excellent flexural rigidity
  • Thermal stability - with CFRP, the coefficient of thermal expansion is "close to zero".
