Prepreg reinforcement
prepregs are made of high quality fibers that are saturated with resin the type of fiber is mainly responsible for the strenght , the e-module and other important characteristics the most common ones are glass, aramide, carbon and graphite fibers in connection with epoxy-, polyester- and phenole resins fiber composites do have tuned characteristics for producing these products we use preferrably CFRP- and GPR-prepregs (saturated fiber materials)the reinforcement fibers are exactly oriented and economically combined with the resin matrix there are several different prepreg reinforcements:
- Carbon UD layer
- coarse carbon patterns (woven strands, eposy resin)
- fiber glass ( woven strand, epoxy resin)
- cevlar (woven kevlar strands, epoxy resin)
prepregs are manufactured in a modern smelting and casting plant from reinforcemnt fibers and resins melting resins contain less elusive components and result in a higher strenght of the composite material.
